Akira Endo

Akira Endo (85) of Kula, Maui, Hawaii passed away peacefully in his home on February 19, 2025 in San Francisco. He is survived by his son, Alex Endo, daughter in-law, Dr. Victoria Tobar, grandchildren, Alexa and Ava, daughter, Rosemary, son in-law Darrell Chen, his elder sister Yone Sakamaki and 13 nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Hideko Endo with whom he was married for 45 years.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 13th at McAvoy O’Hara Mortuary, 4545 Geary Blvd in San Francisco from 5:00pm – 6:00pm.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 14th at 10:00am at Saint Ignatius Church. Burial to be held at the Maui Veterans Cemetery on Maui, Hawaii on March 20, 2025 at 10:30am.
