Albert “Apey” Fernandez
Albert “Apey” Fernandez, 98, of Makawao, Maui, passed away at his home surrounded by family, under the care of Hospice Maui. He was born on April 12, 1926, in Kaupo, Maui. Apey was a Corporal with the United States Marine Corps, a retired Foreman at Hawaiian Telephone Company, a lifetime member of the Maui Roping Club, and a lifelong cowboy.
Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Ballard Family Mortuary. The service will start at 11a.m. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at the Maui Veteran’s Cemetery in Makawao.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Beatrice Fernandez. He is survived by his children, Rowdy (Laura) Fernandez, Paul (Nita) Fernandez, James (Tabatha) Fernandez, Michael (Laurie) Fernandez; 7 grandchildren, Kainoa, Cole (Veronica), Duke, Christian (Kasie), Justin, Shane, Travis; and 1 great granddaughter.
