Edwin Nishijo

Edwin “Q-boy” Kiyoshi Nishijo, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by love and support of family members on the evening of February 8, 2025 at UMC Hospital in Las Vegas. He was born and raised in Sprecklesville, Maui, and has been a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada since 1997. He was most notably employed with the Department of Parks and Recreations Division for both the State of Hawaii and the County of Maui, Gray Line Tours, and as a commercial driver for various companies in Maui and Nevada.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Cadiam) Nishijo; step-daughters, April and Jacyann Louis, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Sharon (Ryan) Hedani of Wailuku; brother, David (Kathleen) Nishijo of Kahului; nephews, Eric (Maya) Nouchi and family of Honolulu, and Rian (Chanda) Nouchi and family of Wailuku. He also leaves behind numerous family members and friends. Q-boy is predeceased by his father, Yoshiichi; his mother, Kiyoko; and his brother Donald.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Kahului Jodo Mission. Visitation will begin at 3:30pm followed by Buddhist service at 4:30pm. A light reception will immediately follow the service.
