MARY ANN PORTE PELLAZAR

JUNE 28, 1960 – FEBRUARY 4, 2025

The family of Mary Ann (Porte) Pellazar of Paia announces her sudden passing on February 4, 2025. She was comforted at her bedside by her family. Born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she graduated from Maui High School, attended the University of Hawai’i Maui College and worked as a Telemetry Technician at Maui Memorial Medical Center.

She enjoyed QVC shopping as well as keeping physically active with at-home work-out sessions. Her times with her husband and grandchildren were always special as well as sharing meals with her mother and brother on Saturdays.

She is survived by her husband, William Jerome Pellazar and their children: son, Elijah Pellazar (Jenni Kinoshita) and their children Aubree and Noah and her daughter Chastity (Zenas) Romero and their daughter Mikaila. She also is survived by her mother Julita Porte of Paia and siblings: sister Rose Paraiso (sons Christopher; Ian Allen (Angie and their children Zion, Cyrus and Angel) and brother James (Lucille) Porte (daughter Jamee). She is also survived by her sister-in-law Angela (Pellazar) and Phil Benoit and their children, Max and Kendall.

She is predeceased by her father Amado Porte; brother Napoleon Porte; and her parents-in-law Euprepes “Bill” and Dorothy (Cagasan) Pellazar, all of Paia.

The family would like to extend their mahalo to everyone who worked alongside Mary Ann at MMMC who were all fond of their dedicated and caring co-worker. She was much loved by her family and friends and will be missed dearly.

Services are being planned and will be announced at a later time. However, condolences and offerings may be mailed to her daughter, Chastity Romero, P.O. Box 790357, Paia, Hawai’i 96779.
