George Higa

George was born on May 25, 1936 and raised in Piihana camp. He will be lovingly remembered as a kind, hard working, and devoted family man.

George was a retired mason and built numerous homes and structures around Maui. He had a passion for golf, enjoyed trips to Vegas and spending time with friends and family.

George leaves behind a legacy of a strong family. He is deeply missed by his wife Yoneko, daughters Leanne (Ryan Hashizume), Linda Hamana (Keith), and grandsons Kade and Kolten.

A Celebration of George's life will be held on Saturday June 28, 2025. Visitation begins at 9:00 am and service at 10 am at Nakamura Mortuary with burial to follow.
