Norman Keahi

Norman Calvin Keahi, 78, of Lahana, Maui, passed away peacefully March 23, 2025, in Wailuku, Maui. He was born December 7, 1946, to George “Papa” Keahi and Elizabeth “Kapu Mama” Keahi of Lahaina.

Norman was a retired bartender from Royal Lahaina and loved his dogs, football, fishing and had interest in certain type of old school cars. As stubborn as he was, he did enjoy his last 6 months to the fullest that he knew how.

He graduated in 1966 of Lahainaluna. As a Lunas football player in 1965 he had the most rushing yards in the league. He was an outstanding ball carrier. Norman was one of the great runners in the history of the MIL

He is survived by his siblings Moses “Moke” (Chris), George “Opelu” Jr, Ulu Keahi, Lorraine “Momi” Keahi, Dana Gibson and Ellsworth A’a. Norman was preceded in death by his parents alongside siblings Charles “Kong”, Thelma “Lady” Vierra, Jonah, Wilson, Harry, and George Keahi Jr (infant), and will be lovingly remembered by his entire ohana, friends and many in the community.

A celebration of life will be held on May 24, 2025, 10:00 am @ 1381 Front Street, Mala Hale. We will have shuttles available if needed. There will be reserved parking for our kupunas.
