Monroe Schwabenland

Monroe was born September 27,1942 in Fresno, California to William and Amelia Schwabenland.

Monroe was a retired electrician and a member of the I.B.E.W Local #332 for 47 years in Santa Clara County, CA.

Outside of work, Monroe was an avid golfer, enjoyed reading, playing cribbage daily, watching baseball & golf, dining out with Mary, friends and family, and caring for his yellow labs. He was known for his generosity, sarcastic sense of humor and love for telling stories of McGwire’s adventures, his first yellow lab.

Monroe is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary, his sons Gregory and Michael, and his daughter-in-laws Vanessa and Lori.

Monroe will be forever missed by his family and friends. May he find eternal peace hitting fairways and greens with his beloved dogs that preceded him. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the near future.
