Aileen Louise Shim was born in Puunene, Maui to George and Cecelia Ventura. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 18, 2025 in El Dorado Hills, CA at the age of 91.
Though a long time resident of Santa Clara and Morgan Hill CA, her heart and passion remained with the rich Hawaiian culture and traditions. She loved Hawaiian music, going to luaus and watching the hula dancers perform. She loved to crochet, knit, Hawaiian quilting, making Lei Hulu, playing the ukulele and singing Hawaiian music.
She was a huge sports fan of women's sports and rarely missed a Golden State Warrior's game.
She is survived by her 5 children, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Aileen cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She was loved by many and will be missed immensely.
There will be a grave site service on July 17th 10:30 am at Maui Memorial Park, 450 Waiale Rd, Wailuku, HI. Reception at Guava Tree Bar and Grill following the service. 270 Waiehu Beach Rd, Ste 106, Wailuku, Hi.
