Louis “Lani” Joaquin
Louis Don Kuuipokuhilani Joaquin, 80, of Paukukalo, Maui, passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2025. He was born on July 17, 1945, in Wailuku, Maui, to Frank Joaquin and Hannah P. Furukawa Cockett.
He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Agnes “Haunani” Cockett (Tony) Vitale; and son, Robert “Kalei” Keahi (Rochelle).
He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan “Nani” Joaquin; daughter, Stacie Grace (Richard “Kapio”); grandchildren, Shelley “Pua’ena” Keahi, Trebor Keahi (Chelsea), Lopaka Keahi, Anakea Keahi and Dusty Grace; great-grandchild, Kamali’i Keahi.
He is also survived by sisters, Caroline Jones (Billy) and Lorraine “Maile” Manalo (Larry); brothers, Charlie Joaquin (Juanita) and Wayne Cockett (Stephanie); and many nieces and nephews.
