Paulino Domingo
Paulino Cudal Domingo was born on June 13, 1940 to Diocliciano and Irene Cudal Domingo in Barangay Araniw Laoag City in the Philippines. He grew up the second youngest of four siblings – Florante (deceased), Rosalie, and Carlina.
In 1964, he graduated at the National University as a mechanical engineer in Manila. While in boarding school, he met his wife, Romana Aglupos Domingo. At age 26, he moved his family to Hawaii and worked for HC&S as an assistant boiler operator at the Paia Mill. In his younger years, Paulino was known to be a jack of all trades – a good cook, fisherman, and a skilled worker.
On November 17, 2024, Paulino passed peacefully. His celebration of life was held on December 10, 2024 at Nakamura Mortuary and he was laid to rest at Maui Memorial Park. Paulino was known to be a family man, resilient, hard working, thoughtful, and generous.
He is survived by his wife, Romana; his children Rolyn (Jasmine), Pamela (Eric), Mailyn, and Paul Derrick (Sheryll); his grandchildren Dayna, Jaelyn, Rielyn, Kiana, and Kainoa; and his great-grandchild, Lilia.
Paulino’s family would like to thank the many people who showed their love and respect during his services. The family would also like to extend their sincere gratitude to Tere Rapoza, Marilyn Butay, Maui County Office of Aging, Ho'okele Home Care, BAYADA Maui Home Care, Valley Isle Home Care, and Kaiser Permanente who provided care for Paulino during his last years.
