Ray Hart

He is survived by Carla, his beloved wife of 58 years; daughter Ranette(Jay) of Seattle, sons Carl(Katie) of Seattle, Matthew of Kihei, & his cherished grandchildren Ivo, Mary Kate, Luce, & Louis.

Ray and Carla moved to Maui in 1992 along with their youngest son. Ray taught at Kihei Elementary & Kamali’i Elementary. Ray and Carla were members of St. Theresa Church. Ray was especially proud of helping establish Maui’s first public charter school.

In 2019, Ray and Carla returned to Seattle. Ray was diagnosed in 2021 with suspected Lewy Body Dementia.

Ray will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, curiosity, & loyal devotion to friends, family, & education. A Funeral Mass will be held on April 11, 2026, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Seattle.
