Ronald Taylor
Ronald “Ron” Guy Taylor was called in to become an angel on December 13th, 2025 while a meteor shower illuminated the night sky. Ron had a way of making everyone feel like they belonged. He is survived by his mom Ritsuko, sisters Rochelle, Regina, and Michele, wife Marcia, his sons Adam, Chris, and Nathan, and his grandson who was at the center of his world.
Ron had friends everywhere he went, people wanted him in their lives because he made them feel special and loved. Wherever he went, he brought people together, built community, and left a mark that made life better for those around him.
Ron was born on Oahu and left the islands at a young age with his mom. He returned to Hawaii as a man who led with his heart and kindness. His presence brought warmth and connection, and his impact was felt by all who met him.
He carried the joy of a big kid into everything he did. Quick to laugh, easy to talk to, and always smiling even while picking up rubbish along the highway, he had a gift for turning everyday moments into something special.
He loved to joke around with people, play games, and quietly help without fanfare. If the youth center needed money, he would cook up food and donate the proceeds without even being asked.
Ron loved to cook, to play sports including volleyball, frisbee, pickle ball tennis, and gate ball, and to share stories as easily as he shared his smile. He gave his time and heart freely, helping his community in ways both small and significant. He never chased money or status. What mattered was being good to others and showing up with a smile.
Ron will be remembered for how he made people feel. Welcome, known, loved. He is deeply missed by his family and by everyone fortunate enough to have crossed his path.
A celebration of life with community, friends, and family will be held at Kamaole Beach Park 3 this Sunday April 12th from 3pm to sunset. All who knew Ron are welcome. Come as you are, bring something to sit on, a story, laughter or tears. The family will provide food and refreshments. Let us remember a man who brought joy wherever he went and made the world a brighter place just by being in it.
