RODNEY ABREU
In loving memory of Rodney Michael Abreu, 64, of Hana, Maui–Rodney was called home to Heaven on April 19, 2026. He was born on December 27, 1961, in Wailuku, Maui, to Katherine and Nelson Abreu.
Rodney was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and a devoted man of faith. He is survived by his daughter, Katieanna K. Abreu (Samuel Keohuhu); his cherished grandchildren, Kaylee, Savanna-Mei, Kelsea, and Sailor-Samson Keohuhu; his sisters, Jocelyn (Gerald) Perreira and Janice Eisler; and his brother, Eric Abreu.
He will be fondly remembered for his deep love of family, his mastery as a mechanic, and his passion for motorcycles and classic cars. Rodney was also known for his time at Maui Raceway Park in the late 1980s and early 1990s, where he drove his 1966 Chevy II Nova, “Second Wind,” to many victories.
A respected mentor, advisor, and dedicated member of the Hana community, Rodney faithfully served for decades as the Automotive Repair Supervisor at the County of Maui Hana Garage.
In honoring his wishes, no public services will be held. Mahalo!
