Genevieve Lona Medeiros DeLima, 89 of Maui, passed away on May 19, 2026, at Hospice Maui Hale in the wonderful care of their staff. She was born on April 1, 1937, to the late George Sr. & Flora Medeiros.
She was a proud graduate of St. Anthony High School, Class of 1955. Following high school, she married Stanley DeLima, Sr. who preceded her in death after 44 years of marriage.
She retired from Midas in Kahului & after retiring she was a friendly face at St. Anthony School cafeteria.
Her youngest daughter, Stacey (Kurt) Grauel passed before her & she is survived by her son, Stanley DeLima, Jr., daughter, Mickey (Brian) Kealoha, 9 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by 3 brothers & their wives, George Jr. (Josephine) Medeiros, Paul (Judy) Medeiros, Rapheal Sr. (Diane) Medeiros & sister-in-law, Mary Medeiros. She is survived by 3 brothers, Donald Medeiros, Benny (Marilyn) Medeiros & Walter Sr. (Deborah) Medeiros.
Services will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at St. Anthony Church in Wailuku: 8:30am visitation; 10:30am Funeral Mass. There will be a private burial later at Maui Veterans Cemetery.
