Judy Medeiros

Judy Mae Medeiros, 64, of Wailuku passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, surrounded by her family.

For years Judy was a familiar and welcoming face at Sam Sato’s restaurant where she treated everyone like long-time friends and family; remembering everyone’s names, family stories, and favorite meals before you even sat down to order. Judy is also known for her love of softball, especially playing with her sisters, closest friends, and her granddaughters. Judy was a charismatic, strong, and giving person, and she will be missed by so many.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth Medeiros; daughters: Ashley (Blaise) Haleakala and Nichole (Hana) Medeiros; grandchildren: Staysia, Kylie, Reign, River, and Reason; and granddog, Honi. Also, by her mother, Grace Fernandez; siblings: Alan (DonnaMarie) Fernandez, Val (Jamie) Fernandez, Molly (Denise) Fernandez-Kahakauwila, Suzette (Richard) Fernandez, and Steven (Dhana) Fernandez; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at St. Ann’s Church from 9:00-11:00am with Mass to follow.
