Jane Tsuda passed away on October 4, 2026, in Bakersfield, CA, at the age of 87. She was born in Lahaina, Maui, on September 16, 1939. Lahaina was her cherished hometown until she left for the mainland at 18. She married Roger Tsuda, and they were together for 47 years. They lived in Carson, Torrance, Thousand Oaks, and Bakersfield until his passing in 2010.
Jane was the beloved mother of sons Randy (Julie) and Russel (Vicky), and daughter Raina. She was also the proud grandmother of Hailey and Benjamin.
A celebration of Jane’s life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 3 PM at Faith United Methodist Church, 2115 W 182nd St, Torrance, CA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lahaina Restoration Foundation to support her hometown’s recovery from the devastating 2023 wildfire.
