Sylvia Angela Mealani Malaqui was born on May 31,1939 in Lahaina, HI and passed away on September 15, 2026 at the age of 87 at home in Pukalani, HI. She worked and retired from Kahului Airport Department of Transportation office.
She was predeceased by her husband Joaquin "Charlie" Malaqui, her father Benjamin P. Nacua, her mother Patricia F. Nacua, her brothers Benjamin "Butchie", Dwight and Alvin Nacua. She is survived by her sister, Beryl (Manohar) Bartakke, her daughters Monette (William "Billy") Pacheco, Carmela "Dolly" (Bryce) Suggs, her grandchildren Kamie-Lei and Kellen (Jennifer) Pacheco, Kona and Keawe Suggs and her great-granddaughters Maeve and Maisie Pacheco.
A private family service was held at Ballard Family Mortuary on October 17, 2026.
