Leonida Jean Jacintho, 80

Leonida Jean Jacintho was born on March 7, 1943, and she passed peacefully on August 27, 2023. She was raised in Puunene and later moved to Haiku. Leonida is survived by her husband, Nelson Jacintho; her four children, sons, Larry Jacintho, Kevin (Jenn) Jacintho and Scott Jacintho; daughter, Maxine (Inola-Hiii) Leleo-Jacintho; grand-daughters, Azalea and Knightley; and many nieces and nephews. Benedict Nelson Souza, of Wailuku, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Aug. 08, 2023. Funeral services will be on Monday, Sept. 18, 2023 at Christ the King Church in Kahului. Todd E. Yamafuji, passed away on August 8th in the fire of Lahaina, Maui. He was the property manager of the Liberty Apartments on Luakini Street. He was born and raised in Lahaina. It was his beloved home. He is predeceased by his father, Takashi (Tom, Soup) Yamafuji. He is survived by his mother, Anita Yamafuji; sisters, Rene Yamafuji (Stanley Morris), and Avis Yamafuji (Ronald Cox); 3 nephews, 1 grandniece, and 2 grandnephews. Kametani of Kula, Maui passed away on August 3, 2023 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on February 4, 1931 to Masaichi and Chiso Kametani in Kula, Maui. After graduation from Maui High School, he worked at Von Hamm Young Co. as a repair shop clerk for a year. Then he enlisted in the Army. After being discharged, he attended school in Michigan and found a job in CA. He lived in Torrance, CA and retired from Northrop Grumman as a computer Engineer. Pamela “Pam” Lorico-Watimar, nexpectedly passed away at on May 25th, 2023 in Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. Pam was born on April 10th, 1949 to Thomas Lorico and Teodoro “Dora” Fuentes in Paia, Maui, Hawaii. On July 22, 2023, Glenn “Mitch” Hiroshi Michimoto passed away at Maui Memorial Hospital with his beloved wife and son by his side. Glenn was born on January 18, 1952, at the old Pioneer Mill Hospital on Front Street in Lahaina. Glenn is the oldest son of Tadashi and Tokuko Michimoto (both deceased) of Honolua, Maui.
