Lilia Villanueva Alibin, of Lahaina, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones on July 26th, 2023. She was born on May 29th, 1951 to Ildefonso Nicolas Villanueva and Avelina Sudio Baltazar in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She is survived by her beloved husband, her children, and her 4 grandchildren. Funeral services are to take place on Wednesday, August, 16th, 2023 at Christ the King Church in Kahului. Steven Hubin was born on November 16th, 1947 in Lanai City, Hawaii. Surrounded by family, he peacefully passed away on July 27th, 2023. Steven served as a private first class soldier, and fought in the Vietnam War. Joseph “Blondy” Iao Kaina, 79 of Hana, passed away on July 26, 2023 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on November 5, 1943 in Hana. Prior to retirement, Joseph worked as a custodian at Hana School Public Library. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Kaina; sister, Henrietta Laie Revilla; nieces, nephews and other extended Ohana. Paul Kastner peacefully left this earth on June 19th with his beloved wife, Phyllis Sato, at his side. He leaves behind a legacy as an environ-mentalist, conservationist, educator; and as someone who had respect for all living things. Wilkens Penimana “Jacky-Jack” Kaauamo, 83, of Makawao, Maui passed away on July 24, 2023 while sleeping at his residence. He was born on June 2, 1940 in Hana to Samuel Kamuela Kaauamo & Mary Smith Kaauamo. He grew up in Wailuanui working in the taro patches and was a Lahaina Lunagraduate. He was a Laborer and then a Journeyman Carpenter until he lost his father. Then he happily went back to the taro patches full time. He was an easygoing man of great humility a pleasure to know.
