Miss Kristi Masako Hirata, age 52, of Hilo, Hawaii, died on October 4, 2021 at the Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Hilo, Hawaii on April 13, 1969 and formerly lived on the island of Maui where she worked as an educational assistant at the University of Hawaii Maui College (Maui Community College) and as a training supervisor at Borders Books and Music Store. A public visitation will be held at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo, Hawaii on October 28, 2021 (Thursday) from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.; memorial service to follow will be private. She boarded and graduated from Roosevelt High School on Oahu. Tamiko’s family would sometimes joke that she was busier in her years of retirement than when she was while employed.
