Faye E. Field, 85

Faye E. Field, longtime Maui resident, died on May 29, 2020 due to cancer. She was born in Honolulu in 1934, was educated in public schools there, later graduating from Punahou as a member of the Class of 1952. Faye attended Stanford University and then art school in Los Angeles, California. She married Chris Field in 1955, traveled widely and lived in Missoula, Montana for many years. She returned to the Islands in 1995, making her home on Maui. In 2002 she married Charles Treuhold. Both husbands have died. Joseph Hampel III, 67

June 4, 1952-April 28, 2020. Joseph "BUDDY" Hampel passed away peacefully at Hospice Maui Hale; he was 67. Joe, or "Uncle Buggs," as we called him, was born in Waipahu, O'ahu, and lived in Diamond Head before moving to Maui when his father was hired as the Manager of Kahului Shopping Center. Joe attended Makawao School and graduated from Maui High School, class of 1971. Buddy was always proud, as were most of his classmates, to have been the last graduating class at the Hamakuapoko campus. After graduation, Buddy enlisted in the Hawaii Army National Guard where he trained as a medic. ...
