David Gardner, 87, of Lahaina passed peacefully on April 6, 2020 at Maui Memorial Medical Center, two days before his 88th birthday. He was born on April 8, 1932 in Massillon, Ohio as one of nine children. As a brilliant youth he found many ways to entertain himself and get into trouble. Kenneth Yuji Oishi, 81, passed away at his Paia home on April 16, 2020. Kenneth was born in Wailuku and raised in Paia, Maui. He attended Paia School, Holy Rosary School, and Maui High School. He served in the Army and after his military service, returned home and worked as a car salesperson. Lawrence "Larry" Ryan passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 18, 2020, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was a loving husband to Kathy and a friend to many. Larry was born September 11, 1947, in Los Angeles, CA. He was a general contractor before retiring to Maui. John Schneider, also known as "U. J." , passed away on April 2, 2020 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. John was born in Ogdensburg, New York on December 25,1947. His lifelong dream was to live in Hawaii and it became a reality when as a Marine, he was stationed at Camp Smith. Upon discharge, John worked at a local refuse company as a driver for 10 years.
