Aliya Kauamaikalani Hue Sing, 24, of Wailuku, passed away on August 10, 2019 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was born on February 18, 1995 in Wailuku. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Kings Cathedral Maui, service will begin at 11 a.m. and cremation will follow. Aliya was a transporter for Maui Handi Transport. Thelma Tomeko Kasahara, 90, of Kahului, Maui, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2019 with loving family by her side. Services honoring Mrs. Kasahara were held privately by family. Thelma was born on April 5, 1929 to Mr. Masaki and Mrs. Ichi Tokuoka in Makawao, HI. She was a front end manager at star market, who took pride in caring for the children and handling the finances. Bernice Leolani (Burns) Montalvo, 77, of Ha’iku, Maui passed away on August 22, 2019 at her home under Hospice care. She was born on March 5, 1942 in Pu’unene, Maui, to the late Henry and Hannah Burns of Ha’iku. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Yoshiko Okamura, 91, of Kahului, Maui passed away on August 11, 2019 at Hale Makua Kahului. She was born on June 21, 1928 in Lahaina, Maui.  She was predeceased by husband Johnny and her son Ritchie.
