Born August 31, 1947 in Decatur, IL. Died June 15, 2019 at Maui Memorial Medical Center, Maui, HI. Survived by Judith Bakos Manthei, his beloved wife of almost 50 years. They were married on July 12, 1969 in Joliet. IL. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Helen Phillips Manthei. Mary Akiko Nakamura of Kula, Maui passed away peacefully on April 17, 2019 at Islands Hospice Home in Kahului. She was born in Florin, CA and lived in Seattle, WA and Oxnard, CA prior to being interred with her family in the Gila River Concentration Camp in Arizona during World War II. Despite this adversity, Mary went on to graduate from Mills College in Oakland, CA. She became a teacher, and taught for many years at Makawao Elementary School prior to her retirement in 1984. Albert Kenji “Clock” Yoshimura was born on September 22, 1935 and passed away at Maui Memorial Medical Center on June 9, 2019.  He was born at the Pioneer Mill Co.
