Bessie Kalua Pauole DeMello was born Jan 17, 1927 on Hoolehua, Molokai and went home so peacefully to Jesus on May 11, 2019 at the age of 92. Her Celebration of Aloha will be held on Saturday June 8, 2019 at Kings Cathedral in Kahului at 9 am. Caroline “Kalena” Munar Espirito passed peacefully at Hale Makua Kahului on May 14, 2019. She was born on January 15, 1943 and raised in Paia. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and the owner and operator of Caroline’s Tax in 1980-2000. William “Willie” Kennison, 73

William “Willie” Kennison, 73, of Waihee, Maui passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on May 21, 2019. Willie was born on February 25, 1946 in Wailuku, Maui and was the oldest of five children. As a young man, Willie served in the Army National Guard and was stationed at Fort Ord, California. In recent years, he retired as the Maui Division Director of ILWU after working for the union for over 30 years.
