Hiroshi Arisumi, 98, of Kula, passed away on March 8, 2019, peacefully and surrounded by his family. He was a veteran of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team and was passionate about continuing its legacy with the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center. In 1952, he co-founded Arisumi Brothers, Inc. In the early 1960's, he bought his place in Kula and moved there full time in 1965.
