He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Natalie Natsuyo Sakamoto of Waikapu, Maui; sister Matsuyo Matsuura; brothers, Tamotsu & Atsushi (Chan) Takahama. John J. Haleyalbung, 58, of Waiehu, went home on December 3, 2017. He was born on March 7, 1959 to Andrew William Bemo and Francisca Maria Legasiugtal on Falalis, Woleai, an outer Island of Yap. Torio Nishida, 96, of Wailuku, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2017 at Hale Makua Kahului, surrounded by his loving children. Services honoring Mr. Nishida were held privately. Nakamura Mortuary assisted with arrangements. Torio was born on January 27, 1921 in Omaopio, he was the fourth of nine children. He attended Kula Elementary and then began working on the family farm.
