Edward Haruo Sato, 77, of Kula, passed away on June 8, 2017, at Hospice Maui Hale in Wailuku. He was born on March 31, 1940 in Puunene, Maui. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Ballard Family Mortuary. Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. with an urn burial to follow at 2 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park, Garden of Meditation. Edward was a retired school teacher and farmer. Betty Jean Syfers, 91, of Makawao, passed away on May 20, 2017 in Wailuku. Brad Teruo Tokunaga, 56, of Wailuku, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2017 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. Mr. Tokunaga was born on March 11, 1960 in Wailuku, Maui, to Gilbert and Yuriko Tokunaga. A Celebration of Life honoring Brad was held on May 27, 2017.
