Kiyoko Tomita, 95, passed away on March 26, 2017 in Sunnyvale, CA. Private family services were held on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Nakamura Mortuary. Kiyoko was born on November 11, 1921 in Kaupakalua to Toyono and Nisaku (Arine) Sone. She was predeceased by husband, Torao Tomita. Together they had three children, Lousie (Wayne) Kuramoto, Leonard (Pat) Tomita and Daniel (Karen) Tomita, also eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Earl Whiteley, Jr. 88, of Lahaina, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. He was born in Berkeley, California. John Anthony Capone, talented artist passed away at home on March 18, 2017. He was a lifetime member of the Lahaina Arts Society and was the past treasurer. Before moving to Maui he managed hotels in Florida and the 1717 Alawai Complex in Honolulu. Reid Robert Haruo Fukuda passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Islands Hospice in Kahului. He was 43 years and was pre-deceased by his father, Jerry Fukuda.
