She was born on September 4, 1980, in Wailuku, Maui. She loved dancing hula, playing the ukulele, and paddling canoe for Lae’ula O Kai. Randal Takatani, 65, of Kahului, died on June 15, 2024. Mr. Takatani was born on May 8, 1959 in Wailuku, Maui. He was the son of Mr. Goro and Mrs. Katherine Takatani and brother to Alvan Takatani, all deceased. He is survived by his sister in law, Sonyong Takatani and his niece, Isa Takatani. Randal worked for the state for almost 25 years. He was quiet, hard working, and loved animals. In his spare time, he enjoyed shopping and going to Las Vegas.
