Great April Fool’s joke from a letter writer. Had his letter been serious, and not an April fool’s joke, then it surely would not have contained any logical fallacies.

“Ad Hominem” attacks in paragraphs No. 1 and No. 2 would be good examples of logical fallacies.
The catchphrase “settled science” demonstrates the “Appeal to Closure” logical fallacy, as well as “Argument from Ignorance” and “Argument from Consequences.”
As a scientist, I am aware that nothing is ever settled, due to more accurate, verifiable information changing opinions very quickly.
Good thing the writer was joking – right?
