Using eminent domain to widen Hana Highway
There has been a lot of talk lately about eminent domain. One very useful application of it I see would be to widen the Hana Highway between Haleakala Highway and Baldwin Beach. For most of this stretch, the land on both sides belongs to HC&S.
This will be even more necessary once the highway is widened between Kahului and the Haleakala intersection.
Then just put up a few signs that say “Keep right except to pass.”
