Critics of article attack the messenger, not the message

Oh no, not another letter from a "FOP" (Friend Of the Parsons) defending the "compassionate couple" while attacking the messenger, not the message.

The message is loud and clear: "There's Something Rotten In The State Of Denmark."

I applaud the bravery of the writer (who was just doing her job!) and see no bias in it at all (The Maui News, May 5).

"The lady(s) dost protest too much, methinks" (get it?).

The dozens of letters of support for these two people is sickening. (It's unprecedented, yes?)

I think they are all written by the same person as the names are quite possibly fake.

I knew the woman. I sat in her condo. I walked through her house. We swam and drank and sang together.

It was a tragedy that she could not stand the pain. She was one in a million.
