I've often wished to ask Oprah if she'd please leave her road to the people of Maui in her will or trust.
Now I've another wish: that she'd take the advice of Bill Maher and run for president.
I agree with Maher that only Oprah can guarantee defeating our bully in chief, as she has more charisma, star power and compassion to win over his dismal behavior. We know she doesn't want to run, but I say to her that she wouldn't have to serve two terms, just enough to show the country what Democrats can do. She can appoint competent people and delegate, just showing up to meet fascinating people as she likes.
All genders love Oprah with little reservation, and our democracy may depend on it. So many people wish they could do something, but Oprah really could.
