Another case of headline not matching letter content

1 min read

Please instruct the individual who writes the headers for Opinion letters to actually read and comprehend the content of the letters. I've lost track of how many headings are inaccurate but the one on Oct. 11 was the direct opposite of the letter writer's point.

The writer specifically said that the Supreme Court decision "guarantees an individual right to bear arms, but not military-style weapons." Yet your staff member wrote a header that stated "Court decision does not apply to military-style arms" when the words "does not apply to" should have been replaced with "addresses."

Can't wait to see the header written for my letter!
