Kudos for renovation of Waiehu greens and aprons
Kudos to Waiehu Municipal Golf Course Superintendent Todd Allen and his crew on the recently completed renovation of the course’s putting greens and aprons. It took almost two years to redo all 18 greens, but the resulting pool table-like putting surfaces and improvement in the course’s playability are worth the wait.
Waiehu, with its oceanfront holes and vistas, is now truly “the working man’s Pebble Beach.”
Local residents can in good conscience recommend that golfing friends visiting Maui include a round or two at Waiehu. The higher fees paid by visitors will help keep Waiehu Golf Course financially viable to the benefit of all golfers.
