The Maui News has printed letters from people that complain about Maui Memorial Medical Center. Well, now MMMC will get a very good letter about the hospital, especially fifth floor, Haleakala East.
My husband on Jan. 13 was having a hard time to breathe and had chest pains. I called EMS; the two boys were very good at making him feel comfortable until we got to the emergency room. Then the doctors and nurses took over -- very professional people. He was admitted. All the nurses at the fifth floor took very good care of him, especially Monet and Tori, until he was discharged.
Very much mahalo to all. We are not from the Mainland. We are local people and I am giving 5 stars to MMMC for giving my husband's good care. Thank you again.
