Partly remake our economy without reliance on tourism
I’m reading about huge increases in data use in the health services, remote education, many conferences and thinking how to diversify our Hawaii economy.
With a supercomputer in Maui Research and Technology Park, remote monitoring of telescopes and college level courses, empty hotels with conference rooms needing to fill up with paying users, let’s put our best minds together now, supported by public money, to partly remake our economy without reliance on tourism alone.
In so doing, let’s get a return on our successful investment in containing COVID-19.
