Here are some new, revealing thoughts on Trump by people who know him best.
There is his henchman Michael Cohen. He went to jail for lying to Congress to protect Trump. Since then he has had a change of heart. He now describes the man he served for over 10 years a "a cheat, a liar, a fraud, a bully, a racist, a predator, a con man." Cohen's new book on Trump is entitled "Disloyal."
Then there is former National Security Advisor John Bolton's description of Trump's dysfunctional management of the nation's foreign affairs as being "dangerous," his attention span being the equivalent of a teenage monkey on cocaine. He said the president was never prepared and was not able to pay attention. His effort last year to use the Ukrainian government to create a false narrative on Joe Biden -- the shibai that got him impeached by the House -- was "like a drug deal gone bad," Bolton said.
Then there's his niece, Mary L. Trump. She described her uncle as a "sociopath," a cruel person, incapable of empathy. Ms. Trump is a practicing clinical psychologist. She knows what sociopath is and why that makes her uncle "the most dangerous man in the world."
And there is his elder sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, who called him a "phony, cruel, a liar, a brat." The retired federal judge summed up her feelings for her little brother this way: "Donald is out for Donald, period. You can't trust him."
