This letter is in response to the May 14 letter saying George Floyd is no hero.
The writer is blaming the "left and its media partners" for basically shaming and intimidating the George Floyd jury into a guilty verdict. As well, he claimed as there is no systematic racism.
So, there are many ideas in this letter that I find appalling.
First, it sounds like you are all-knowing about this situation and being a person of color.
I'm assuming you are white like me. We can't claim to know what it's like to be in the shoes of a person of color.
Secondly, did George Floyd get a fair trial?
It looks to me Mr. Floyd was no threat once he was cuffed. With three officers, they had him well in hand.
Do we have the right to be judge, jury and executioner?
Maybe, as you say, Mr. Floyd wasn't a role model to our children and is being held up as a good person. That's not the point.
It's that his tragic death woke up the world to the inequality that people of color face every day.
As the Bible says, isn't the least of us nor the best of us.
We are all God's children. Only he can judge.
