I have five children attending public school in Lahaina: Princess Nahienaena, Lahaina Intermediate and Lahainaluna High School.
We have five adults living in the household, two of which who are immune-suppressed and two others with other health issues.

It only takes one person to spread COVID.
There have been reports of children at Princess Nahienaena with COVID. This came from the news. But internally, we haven't seen any a school memos.
We need to immediately switch to online learning to protect the teachers, staff and our children.
Why the hesitation? This needs to happen now. Our government must take proactive steps to protect us. Not reactive. We have already lost lives. COVID has taken two young Lahaina residents with families. We must protect each other.
We need to encourage the DOE and government to be proactive to protect our children. Switch to online education now.
