Shall we spend more than $750 billion on weapons?
Did you know that Rep. Kai Kahele recently voted for an amendment to the $750 billion U.S. Pentagon budget to increase it by another $37 billion?
Think of what that $37 billion could do if it was allocated to education to invest in our young people.
Plus, this money could also be used for all kinds of beneficial humanitarian causes, clean energy research, health and cultural programs and community development. What an opportunity, yet our representative voted against this. You can write to Kahele here: https://kahele.house.gov/contact.
Personally, I would like to see $80 billion reallocated from the Pentagon’s budget to education and humanitarian causes.
I believe in all kinds of smart diplomacy; we can win without war.
