Pickleball, tennis players should unite for their sports

Pickleball and tennis players need to unite to have the parks department provide more facilities for their respective sport.

The parks department could open the gyms (Haliimaile, Kula, Wailuku, Lahaina, etc.) for pickleball which would free up tennis courts.

Gyms could accommodate up to three courts and can be utilized rain or shine.

My own personal experience with the parks department to accommodate pickleball activity in Haiku has been one of double talk, deceit and runaround for over one-and-a-half years.

My wife and I strongly believe the parks department needs new leadership, which would pave the way to finding facilities instead of pitting one sport against another.
