All have given some, some have given all

To the author of the Nov. 13 letters titled "Frontline veterans are the real heroes," first, I sincerely wish to thank you for your service.

I also served 10 years during the Vietnam era in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service. I believe that the term "hero" gets used a lot, perhaps too often, in describing individuals and situations.

Surely those foot soldiers in the thick of combat are to be revered for their bravery and tenacity in getting their mission accomplished.

To me, none of their efforts and sacrifices would be possible without the support of other men and women in uniform.

Service to our country has always been, and will always be, a team effort. All have given some, and some have given all.
