Gambling in Hawaii is big. Illegal gambling is never going to stop. Hawaii people love to gamble.
Game rooms all over the state have been around for at least 75 years. The problem is the neighborhoods they exist in put people's safety in jeopardy.
A lot of these game rooms have alcohol, drugs and no security. Spooky people are coming in and out of the neighborhood.
Not long ago, a murder in Kahului was gambling related. In another incident, somebody got a beating because of an unpaid gambling debt.
If online gambling was legal, Hawaii and our neighborhoods would be safer.
