Why are we recycling when everything is being buried in the landfills?
China stopped buying our recyclables two years ago.
Here's an idea. Mr. Jeff Bezos, now that you own land here, could you please help build a place where we can turn your company's cardboard, plastic, batteries, etc. into something useful?
Maybe get together with Ms. Oprah Winfrey and Mr. Larry Ellison and really help save our island.
Some places in Mexico have been turning their plastic into fireproof bricks and building homes with them.
Even our beer and soda cans are being crushed into cubes and put into the landfills.
Maui is quickly being poisoned and most people who live here are unaware this is happening.
