Unconscionable that flag has not been raised here

It hasn't flown for National Vietnam Veterans Day, Army Day, National Former POW Recognition Day, Patriots Day, VE Day, Peace Officers Memorial Day, Armed Forces Day, D-Day, Flag Day, Korean War Day, Coast Guard Day and Purple Heart Day.

It hasn't even flown at half-staff for all the mass shootings, passings of government leaders and other prominent individuals bestowed the honor by our president or our governor in the first half of 2022.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It is the American flag at Wailuku Post Office.

The flagpole is broken. It took time to order the needed part. COVID's role in the delay was the shipping crisis. The repair has not occurred.

May I suggest a simple carabiner, a pulley and a rope from the top of the flagpole as a temporary solution until a permanent fix is completed.

It is unconscionable that the American flag has not been raised during most of 2022 at this federal facility.
