A chorus of belligerence against China/Xi is being conducted in Washington by politicians of all hues. This is deja vu.
In 2002-2003, a similar atmosphere prevailed regarding Iraq/Saddam Hussein which led to the blunder of a disastrous war. Republican and Democrat politicians were trying to outdo each other in support of that war.
Tragic consequences of that war are still with us.
We need to understand why we always seem to seek conflicts and lean towards violent actions. Could it be the propaganda machine of our giant military-industrial-complex that is influencing our politicians and molding our opinions?
