Low-hanging powerline needs fix in Wailuku, too

Thank you to the people who fixed the low-hanging powerlines on Kahekili Highway in the Waiehu Kou phase 2 area.

Another area of concern is the area of Kehalani Mauka Parkway and Keanu Street. The powerlines are within the setback area of the Kehalani Mauka parkway homes and the monkeypod trees.

This area is landscaped and part of the Honoapiilani Highway. The concern is for safety as many people, mostly kids, use this area to walk and exercise.

The developer of Kehalani Mauka Parkway is responsible for the utility easement, as each resident is assessed the cost for this infrastructure, therefore the developer should exercise the proper install on these power lines.

Puu Kukui Elementary, Wailuku Elementary and Iao Intermediate are in walking distance to this area. Also, landscaping and tree arborist companies should avoid this area until the power lines are fixed.
