Don’t allow rule of law to be manipulated, abused

2 min read

In these unprecedented times within our government, I find it ironic that a country founded on rejecting rule by a king would even consider the notion that presidents can pardon themselves and be above the law. How can our country flourish if we allow the rule of law to be manipulated, bent or abused?

This brings me to the Supreme Court. It's time to reevaluate the entire concept of this court.

By granting voting as an automatic birthright and allowing citizens to vote from home, we can remove the need for the Electoral College, and the Supreme Court. The EC was created to represent votes when it was difficult to get to polling locations. Now, we can vote electronically and verify voters just like we do with any other transaction. We only need to establish an appropriate age for joining parties and casting votes. As a nation, we should determine our laws through votes.

Additionally, we must remove religion from government as it has no place there. This approach deprives no one, while the current approach deprives many. By voting for good people and removing the trash, we can ensure that our government serves the people and not the interests of a select few.

Lastly, we need to remove corporations and the wealthy from being able to fund candidates as it deprives individual Americans from choosing who they want to represent them. It's imperative that we remove money from our elections and let the voice of the public reign supreme.
